What does “black-tie preferred” dress code mean?
For the guys: if you have a tux, wear one! If not, a suit is perfect. For the ladies: break out a floor-length gown or a nice cocktail dress. There will be a dance floor, so bring your dancing shoes!
Are children invited? May I bring a guest?
Please reference your wedding invitation envelope.
What is an unplugged ceremony?
We ask that you turn off all electronic devices during the ceremony. We want to see your face, not your phone, while we’re getting married! Our photographer is amazing, and we promise to share her beautiful photos. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you want!
Will there be any transportation provided throughout the weekend?
Yes, shuttle service will be provided to and the ceremony at the Renaissance Waterford. Guests staying elsewhere should arrange transportation to the Renaissance Waterford for shuttle service to the ceremony. Shuttle service will be provided from the ceremony to the reception. Shuttle service will be available throughout the evening to take guests back to the Renaissance Waterford.
Is parking available at the church and reception location?
If you plan to drive to the wedding and are planning on drinking, please make plans to have a designated driver. Both the ceremony and reception locations have parking, but we encourage you to utilize our shuttle service!
If I don’t want to drive and I don’t want to take the shuttle, are there other transportation options in Oklahoma City?
Yes! Uber, Lyft, and other ride sharing companies operate in Oklahoma City.
Will any part of the wedding celebrations be outdoors?
The ceremony will be entirely inside. The reception will be mostly inside, but there are outdoor areas where you can spend time if you choose.
What kind of weather should we expect?
All the Oklahomans know how unpredictable Oklahoma weather can be, but October in Oklahoma is usually into the 80s during the day and somewhere in the 60s at night.
Will I miss anything if I leave the reception early?
There will be some fun farewell festivities, so we encourage you to stay for as long as you are able!
